Design Process

Low-Fidelity Wireframe

After conducting thorough research, the design process begins with the creation of low-fidelity wireframes, providing an initial visual representation of the app's overall design. These wireframes employ simple shapes and basic structures to offer a preliminary visualization.

After working with the design and development team, we conducted our functionality and usability testings of our prototypes allowed us to get more insight on what needs to be improved.

Usability Testing

Following the creation of low-fidelity designs and the incorporation of user testing feedback, the design process advances to high-fidelity designs. If you would like to try out Spurt prototype click here.

Final Design Wireframe

Spurt was designed to feature a vibrant and diverse colour palette, aiming to convey liveliness and excitement in the user experience. The goal was to create an environment where users would feel energized and engaged while interacting with the app, fostering a bright and visually appealing interface.

Branding & Styleguide

In creating Spurt, we aimed to develop a user-friendly gardening app. Design challenges were addressed through effective communication, fostering an understanding of each team member's preferences. A future goal for Spurt is to enable users to enhance their interactive experience by utilizing AI for plant diagnosis through photo submissions. Looking forward, potential enhancements will solidify Spurt as a valuable tool for plant enthusiasts.
